Day 24

Wishing I could just pay someone to come in and make everything, or just receive a delivery of the final week's raw food.  But if i feel that way, for sure others do too :)

Anyway, despite that feeling, there is enchiladas in the dehydrator and garlic bread too!  Woo!

Starting week 4!!! Final week!

Definitely having some cravings and munchies today!

Occasionally getting lazy in preparing, so that doesn't help to have enough good stuff around.

But thankfully, it is the final week here.  Lookin' forward to breaking after the 30 days and seeing what i'm able to handle or tolerate well.

I have changed shape and dropped a dress size for sure!  A couple more pounds were shed according to the scale, but i notice the most progress in how my clothes fit better and i look healthier overall- skin and shape!

We'll see how this last week goes!

STARTING WEEK 3!!!

Feelin' pretty awesome overall.  The only thing i miss is my gluten-free rice noodles... i love all the sauces on the RAW diet, i love the desserts, i like fruit in the morning, and all the snacks like banana leather, flax crackers, guacamole- which really can be lunch or dinner now for me! Ha!

Losing weight for sure, but not super fast- maybe 1.5 pounds per week average- but i only needed to lose 20, so that may have something to do with the slowness- it's my final stubborn pounds!

I crave fruit and salads more than ever before!

And now we have a RAW industrial kitchen- with the dehydrator and a big food processor... i could start a RAW Business- and i just might :)  Know anyone who wants a RAW chef or their food delivered to them?

Anyway, comment with any questions....

DAY 6 RAW

Still so busy just learning how to do this and finding tips to simplify the process. Started exercising too, but only 4 minutes a day...per our doctor. Feeling pretty good. loving fruit more than ever...definitely happy about that! Committed to not weigh myself until Friday... slow progress really bums me out.

Day 3 of RAW

Well, i have been toooo busy making and learning to make RAW food, that i have not had a chance to blog about it!

Everyone LOVED the raviolis!!!  They said it tasted and looked like there was MEAT in it! ha!

The fudge balls and walnut fudge have gone over pretty well with husband and meat.

We are about to test our Veggie Lasagna Pesto!!!  Can't wait!

Pecan pie was ok, gonna try it chilled and see if it's any better like that.  And daughter made Key Lime Pie, but it tastes a bit more like Avocado Key Lime, so we'll see if we can think Lime when eating it :)  Good try though!

Not feeling too different yet, but i'm never very full which is really nice.  My clothes feel looser, but no major drop on the scale yet... but hey, it's only day 3 :)

Last day of cooked food :)

Just ate my last soup I was trying to get rid of before starting the detox and raw tomorrow.

I'm excited to start!  I've had so much energy and less problematic symptoms of the past - ibs type related problems!  Woohoo!

I'm only doing a 3 day detox, since I've done several in the past month and a half.  And it's mainly to help encourage a certain family member along her final days of her detox :)

Who can't use an extra detox anyway?

I'm already planning a recipe for Saturday- Banana Ice Cream- a raw creation in one of my "cook" books... Woo!

Having friends over tonight for a final celebration - where I'll be making my last gluten-free meal for myself to eat in a while!  Here's to the final cooked food nite!

CRAZY AMOUNTS OF ENERGY!!!

I have sooo much energy!!!! I'm not used to feeling so pumped up like i could get everything accomplished in one day!  Wooo!

I'm not even 100% raw yet!  But I'm still gluten and dairy free, and eating a lot of raw!  Wow!  I can't imagine what 100% raw will be like!

Already i have lost a few stubborn pounds (stubborn in the last several years at least), and my daughter has lost 10 pounds, and my husband has dropped maybe closer to 20 pounds already!

Now we just need to wait to see where we end up before buying new clothes!!!!

Preparation for the 30 day challenge

My family of 3 and i have been gluten free and dairy free for a month now and already feel much better! Less tired, more energy! And I no longer have nausea- no nausea in the morning, no nausea in the evening, no random nausea throughout the month! Gone!

We are now preparing to go RAW - at least for a 30 day challenge! Thankfully, we are all on board- how fun is that!!!?

Today we tried some new recipes-

Nori Rolls- basically a fake-sushi! Oh wow!!!! Was it awesome! and dipped in Braggs Amino Liquid! Woohoo! Tasted just like sushi to me!

We had some chocolate cheesecake (yes raw!) at a restaurant in town, while purchasing some raw cacao powder for our desserts we are making.

My daughter made us zucchini pasta (fettucini style) with an amazing marinara sauce (all raw) with sundried tomatoes and garlic and more!

Then to end the day with Fudge Balls that could make any chocolate lover happy for weeks :)

We did buy two "cook"books on the RAW living and we are working our way through as we adjust to our new plan.

I'm beginning my 30 days raw with a short detox starting May 19th, but will continue to post yummy foods we try along the way!

Stay tuned...
